Special Inter-generational Project

The MWCN has a number of inter-generational projects with local schools from the New Frontiers School Board, which allows for learning to happen for all ages. This project called "Conserving History Through Generations" creates a memoir for the seniors, as the students do interviews and recaps of their stories. It helps break down barriers between the seniors and students and allows an opportunity for the generations to get-to-know-one each other better. This particular project was held a Harmony Elementary School. Thank you to all our volunteer seniors, the amazing students and all those who help support these initiatives.

MWCN was proud to work with students of the New Frontiers School Board Schools (St. Willibrord in Chateauguay, and Chateauguay Valley Regional High School in Ormstown), and local seniors. The students interviewed the seniors, then converted the interviews into short vingnettes. The final product – the wonderful books below.
